Most Malaysians flunk Tunku test

Now here's an interesting one. I flunk too.

PETALING JAYA: If asked, most Malaysians today would probably answer that Tunku Abdul Rahman cried out “Merdeka!” three times during the independence ceremony on Aug 31, 1957.

But Tunku’s cry of freedom rang through the air seven times on that august day, which puts many Malaysians in error over at least one historical fact.
