We just had an electrical storm awhile back. Luckily, it was just for a short while. A colleague suffered two tvs being zapped - both struck by lightning during an electrical storm. Both tvs were hit at the same location in the sitting room. I heard that if lightning has stricken once at a certain spot, chances are it might strike that same spot again. So, it is best to relocate the equipment. Not sure how far this is true though.
Anyway, I received an interesting email the other day. It contains three pictures with a caption that reads:
THIS IS INDIA. IT'S WHERE YOU CALL WHEN YOU HAVE A TECHNICAL PROBLEM WITH YOUR COMPUTER.
Right! This is India where many Multi-National Companies have their call centers located. Awesome network! I wonder if they have ever been hit by lightning.

Seriously, it was like that too in Manila. Not in Makati, obviously - it's as neat and cool as downtown Chicago. In chinatown, it was horrible. Just like your photo!
ReplyDeleteLuckily, we don't have anything quite like this here or I haven't been looking hard enough. It'd give me the creeps just standing below one.
ReplyDeleteHaha, at first I thought it was some Captain Jack Sparrow shipwreck..
ReplyDeleteLOL!, LB.

ReplyDeleteThailand too? I'm glad we don't have anything close. This is such a safety hazard and is complicated to fix.
