How to remove yourself from following a blog
With reference to what Small Kucing commented about not being able to unfollow a blog, and if you find yourself faced with this little issue, here is information on how to unfollow a blog as provided by Google Blogger help:
The easiest way to remove yourself from following a blog is to visit the blog, and click Options | Site settings under the Following widget on the blog.
You will then see a pop-up window with your profile settings. Click Stop following this site and you will be removed from following the blog. If the blog doesn't have a Followers widget, you can still stop following the blog. To do so, click the gear icon on the right-hand side of your Reading List on your dashboard.
You'll then see a list of all the blogs that you're following. To stop following a blog, click Settings, then Stop following this site.
Hope this will be helpful.

ReplyDeleteWhose blog you want to unfollow? Mine, is it?
ReplyDeleteBut ... I don't want to unfollow you! ^^
ReplyDeleteI Pa You. I will follow you, follow you where ever you may go..♩♩♩..
ReplyDeleteHave tried both method and not working
ReplyDelete1) go to the blog and sign in and unfollow from the widget. That is okay. also can click at "other site I subscribe to" Then unfollow from there too but it only list the first 30 blogs. More than that is not listed
2)second method - click gear icon
will always get this message
"Manage Blogs I'm Following
These are the blogs you are following and sites you've joined with FriendConnect. Learn more
We are unable to load your FriendConnect data at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please try again shortly."
This have been going on for nearly a year. ever since Google Friends Connect have been discontinued.
Many user are facing trouble to unfollow blogs especially those blogs that had become dormant. I have several of these in my reading list and somebody else taken over that blog name/url and they have been turned into advertising blogs.
For example, Claire"Let's wallop" blog and Manglish's "I speak Manglish" blog. Both have been taken over by others and I am unable to unfollow them.
hope they will come up with a solution soon. Saw this matter have been highlighted in the forum for long time
ReplyDeleteSK, thanks. Yes, this is a nicer template than the last one. I like this for its subdued blue tone. It's less glaring on the eyes and gives a feeling of depth or anchor. Am I making sense? Again, this is a work-in-progress.
ReplyDeleteSTP, maybe. Kidding! But your platform does not allow for widgets. The good side is, the blog can never be cluttered.
ReplyDeleteBtw, have you followed this blog? Wink wink!
Rurousha, you, are so sweet! Please don't.
ReplyDeleteBananaz, I Pa You too. I will follow you too wherever you may go. :D
ReplyDeleteSmall Kucing, so sorry that you are not able to unfollow. I was thinking perhaps unfollowing defunct blogs is not supported yet? Don't know leh.
ReplyDeleteI experimented after I read your comment and was able to do it - a few times, including trying it out on your blog.
