The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) issued a new series of coins which went into circulation on June 25.
The Third Series coins feature national icons and landmarks. I noticed the "pat kua" (octagon) imprint is still a feature on the One Dollar coin.
You can check out the MAS Facebook page or the Monetary Authority of Singapore website to learn more about the currency.
At the moment,
1 Singapore dollar equals to approximately 2.50 Malaysian Ringgit, and
1 Singapore dollar equals to 0.78 US cents.
