Solving mid-life crisis & more
Long time no laugh? Let's begin..
I have been married 40 years. I took a look at my wife one day and said, "Honey, 40 years ago, we had a cheap apartment, no car, no TV, no money and slept on a sofa bed, but I got to sleep every night with a hot good-looking 18 year old. Now, we have a beautiful house, two nice cars, king size bed, money and a 50" screen TV, but I'm sleeping with a 58-year-old woman. It seems to me that you are not holding up your side of things."
My wife is a very reasonable woman. She told me to go out and find a hot beautiful 18-year-old girl... and she would make sure that I would once again be living in a cheap apartment, with no car, no money, and sleeping on a sofa bed.
Aren't older women great? They really know how to solve your mid-life crisis.

Here's a really hilarious letter written by an eligible Malayali (Keralite) bachelor!
Madam,
Saprem Namaskaram !
I am an olden young uncle living only with myself in Thiruvananthapuram. Having seen your advertisement for marriage purposes, I decided to press myself on you and hope you will take me nicely.
I am a soiled son from inside Kerala. I am nice and big, six foot tall and six inches long. My body is filled with hardness, because I am working hardly. I am playing hardly also. Especially I like cricket and I am a good batter and I am fast baller. Whenever I come running in for balling, other batters start running. Everybody is scared of my rapid balls that bounce a lot.
I am very nice man. I am always laughing loudly at everyone. I am jolly. I am gay. Especially ladies, they are saying I am nice and soft. I am always giving respect to the ladies. I am always allowing ladies to get on top. That is how nice I am.
I am not having any bad habits. I am not drinking and I am not sucking tobacco or anything else. Every morning I am going to the gym and I am pumping like anything. Daily I am pumping and pumping. If you want you can come and see how much I am pumping the dumb belles in the gym.
I am having a lot of money in my pants and my pants is always open for you. I am such a nice man, but still I am living with myself only. What to do? So I am taking things into my own hands everyday. That is why I am pressing myself on you, so that you will come in my house and take my things into your hand. If you are marrying me madam, I am telling you, I will be loving you very hard every day. In fact, I will stop pumping dumb belles in the gym.
If you are not marrying me madam and not coming to me, I will press you and press you until you come. So I am placing my head between your nicely smelling feet and looking up with lots of hope. I am waiting very badly for your reply and I am stiff with anticipation.
Yours truly,

Want some more?
The story goes that...
This happened in Jeddah Airport in Saudi Arabia.
One Indian passenger named Anantharaman Subbaraman arrived at Jeddah airport. He ended up waiting for his visa for about 2 hrs for the authorities to call his name.
Finally, he got wild and went to the Saudi authorities and shouted why they haven't called his name yet. They retaliated & claimed that they have been calling him for the last hour and a half ......... and were wondering why he hadn't responded!
The reason was made clear when the Saudi immigration officer announced his name again on the microphone as : 'Anotherman Superman'

...and talk about names,

Okay, now get back to work!

Russian Artist Makes American Debut

For art lovers amongst you, have you ever come across a painting that captivated you so much, you spent extra time just standing in front of it refusing to move on? Paintings are funny, you either love it or hate it the first time you lay eyes on it. Don't you agree?
However, I'm not much for modern art but I'm impressed with the modern expressionistic works of Russian Artist Victor Lysakov (Lee-sa-kov), who is now making an American debut. The above is one of his paintings. His pieces range in size from a humble 14x14 to a majestic 58x50.
Lysakov, a self-taught artist who reads books incessantly, is celebrated for his vibrant, unmistakable colors and his distinct color palette. He now paints with oil or acrylic on canvas though he started out with watercolor. Creatures, figures, animals and nature are motifs he features on his paintings. Lysakov is not classically trained but studies techniques of Rembrandt's and Bryullov's and spent hours in museums.
Lysakov is renowned in Russia and Europe and have participated in prestigious exhibitions and auctions. He was named one of "The Best European Artists" in 1991.
Plastic Surgery 101
More and more people are going for plastic surgery these days, mostly for aesthetic reasons but there are some to correct a defect either sustained from an accident or from birth. No matter what's the reason for plastic surgery, it can offer excellent improvements in appearance and self-esteem.

Best Lesson for the day: "Attitude"
This is great stuff but unfortunately, source is unknown.
Harvard and Stanford Universities have reported that 85% the reason a person gets a job and gets ahead in that job is due to Attitude; and only 15% is because of technical or specific skills.
Interesting, isn't it? You spent how much money on your education? And you spent how much money on building your positive attitude? Ouch! that hurts. Now, here's an interesting thought. With the "right" attitude, you can and will develop the necessary skills.
So where's your emphasis? Skill building? Attitude building? Unfortunately, "Neither" is the real answer for many people. Perhaps if more people knew how simple it is to develop and maintain a positive attitude they would invest more time doing so. So here we go.
Five steps to staying positive in a negative world:
1. Understand that failure is an event, it is not a person. Yesterday ended last night; today is a brand new day, and it's yours. You were born to win, but to be a winner you must plan to win, prepare to win, and then you can expect to win.
2. Become a lifetime student. Learn just one new word every day and in five years you will be able to talk with just about anybody about anything. When your vocabulary improves, your I.Q. goes up 100% of the time, according to Georgetown Medical School.
3. Read something informational or inspirational every day. Reading for 20 minutes at just 240 words per minute will enable you to read twenty 200 page books each year. That's 18 more than the average person reads! What an enormous competitive advantage . . . if you'll just read for twenty minutes a day.
4. The University of Southern California reveals that you can acquire the equivalent of two years of a college education in three years just by listening to motivational and educational cassettes on the way to your job and again on the way home. What could be easier?
5. Start the day and end the day with positive input into your mind. Inspirational messages cause the brain to flood with dopamine and norepinephrine, the energizing neurotransmitters; with endorphins, the endurance neurotransmitters; and with serotonin, the feel-good-about-yourself neurotransmitter. Begin and end the day by reading or doing something positive!
So how's your Attitude? Below is mine. Do the quiz to find out yours.

The Invisible Wall

The Invisible Wall, has anyone of you read this book? From the review, it sounds like a really good book. Written by 96-year-old Harry Bernstein, it's been described as "unputdownable" by the editor, Kate Elton, at the London office of Random House.
What started out as almost a form of therapy eventually turned into a book - that chronicles his childhood in a northern England mill town and — considering that it wasn't published until he was 96 — serves as an inspiration for aspiring authors.

Bid and Win Great Prizes
I've seen this on our local TV but was not sure how it works. Now I know and we can even "play the game" online too. Here's what it is. It's an online auction, but with a twist. You could win great prizes with a very low bid. Among the prizes are New 2007 Scion, Dell XPS 700, Playstation 3, PLASMA TV's, iPods, cell-phones and many more!! Check out their Bid4Prizes store for the prizes.
Here's how it works. The basic idea of Bid4Prizes is for you to find a prize that you like and place a bid to win it. Unlike many of the most popular auction websites where the highest bid wins the prize, with Bid4Prizes the lowest unique bid wins!
But what's a unique bid, you may ask. A Unique Bid in the Bid4Prizes auction game is where one player has a unique bid amount that no one else has bid, which coule be any amount from .01 cent on up. And a lowest unique bid would be one that was cast without any other player bidding on that prize with the exact same amount.
The best part is, if you win the prize, you do not have to pay anything other than shipping costs to deliver it to you and any taxes that may be due to the IRS. Play now, you could win great prizes.

A peek into Malaysian politics
Dr M: Preserve Malay rights in IDR
JOHOR BARU: The New Economic Policy is still relevant as the rights of the Malays need to be preserved, especially in the Iskandar Development Region, said Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
The former prime minister expressed worries that Malays would not be able to compete in the region if it was totally opened up to foreigners.
“We are not asking for the rights of other races or even bear ill feelings against other races but only asking that our elected representatives save the Malays,” he said, reminding the Malays to also be proud of their fellow countrymen from other races who succeed such as Tan Sri Robert Kuok Hock Nien and Ananda Krishnan.
Dr Mahathir also warned that if the opportunities for the Chinese dwindled in the country, they would move to another country.
