Air Asia wins again - World's Best Low Cost Airline

The next time you fly with Air Asia give it a thought that you would be taking to the air with the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline, and for the ninth consecutive year this year.

Just yesterday, this was revealed at the 2017 Skytrax World Airline Awards held at the Le Bourget Airport in Paris.

The airline, which has always placed importance on the strength of its frontline staff, also demonstrated its commitment by having its cabin crew head, Suhaila Hassan, receive the award on its behalf.

The long-haul arm of the airline, AirAsia X, also added another feather to its cap, after it was named World’s Best Low-Cost Airline Premium Cabin and World’s Best Low-Cost Airline Premium Seat awards for the fifth year in a row.

Don't you just love Rod Stewart..

Enjoy!

Sing along..

"The First Cut Is The Deepest"

I would have given you all of my heart
But there's someone who's torn it apart
And she's taken just all that I had
But if you want I'll try to love again
Baby I'll try to love again but I know

The first cut is the deepest
Baby I know the first cut is the deepest
But when it come to being lucky she's cursed
When it come to loving me she's the worst
I still want you by my side
Just to help me dry the tears that I've cried
And I'm sure going to give you a try
And if you want I'll try to love again
Baby I'll try to love again but I know

The first cut is the deepest
Baby I know the first cut is the deepest
But when it come to being lucky she's cursed
When it come to loving me she's the worst

I still want you by my side
Just to help me dry the tears that I've cried
But I'm sure gonna give you a try
and if you want I'll try to love again
Baby I'll try to love again but I know

The first cut is the deepest
Baby I know the first cut is the deepest
When it come to being lucky she's cursed
When it come to loving me she's the worst

Being gay - the last 24 hours

Two sides to a coin?

In Taipei, Taiwan, supporters hug each other during a rally after Taiwan's constitutional court ruled that same-sex couples have the right to legally marry, the first such ruling in Asia.

And over in Jakarta, an Indonesian man is publicly caned for having gay sex, in Banda Aceh, Aceh province, Indonesia.

The world of Internet has given us the chance to have a glimpse of what's going on around the world. I just stumbled upon images that Reuters captured in the last 24 hours. Let me share a few of them.

We start with Indonesia. This one shows Punk community members dance during a punk music festival in Bandung, Indonesia West Java province.

And in the Philippines, a girl takes part in a local Lenten ritual called "Moriones" in Mogpog, Marinduque, Philippines.

A stuntman rides a motorcycle inside the "Well of Death" attraction during a fair in Bhaktapur, Nepal.

Further afield in Europe, the Borussia Dortmund team bus is seen after an explosion near their hotel before their Champions League quarter-final first leg game against AS Monaco in Dortmund, Germany.

A crow flies towards a tree in a blooming rapeseed field on a spring morning in Vufflens-la-Ville near Lausanne, Switzerland.

And back to this part of the world, Reuters has this shot of the sun set in Pyongyang, North Korea.

Well, hope you've had a pleasant enough 24-hours-ago. Would you like to share it? Use the Comments below.

1Malaysia Development Bhd Saga continues..

A pretty picture..

Recognise the gentleman in the picture? Never mind the lady though she's the newly-crowned Model of the Year. This post is about him.

If 1MDB comes to mind, I'm not surpried. I read just now that The U.S. Is Preparing to Charge a Leading Figure in Malaysian Scandal.

The article says..

U.S. authorities intend to file criminal charges against a financier in connection with an international scandal rooted in Malaysia that they believe could be one of the largest financial frauds ever, according to people familiar with the matter.

The scandal involves a state fund called 1Malaysia Development Bhd., or 1MDB, and the focus of the criminal investigation is Jho Low, a flamboyant financier the U.S. Justice Department portrayed in civil asset-seizure lawsuits last July as central to an alleged plot to siphon billions of dollars from the fund.
