Please Mr. Postman
Despite the high-tech era of Internet, email and such, snail-mail is still part of our lives. I know I'd still get a thrill from receiving a handwritten letter or a postcard through the postal service. That would be such a treat, don't you think? Looks like mailboxes are here to stay.
In the West, residential mailboxes are so pretty, most of them. Over here, we have the standard red mailboxes - nothing to feel excited about except for the contents the postman puts in.
As for commercial mailboxes, I think the ones here are more or less the same as the ones overseas. No, wait! I believe the ones overseas are a lot prettier too and they come in many designs. We lost again.

Residential mailboxes are great for the non-gated houses like those in America. Unfortunately, most urban folks in Malaysia live in gated houses or apartments.
ReplyDeleteIf not for the requirement that all must use the red mailboxes, I think residences would have nicer looking mailboxes, gated or otherwise.
