Looking at how fast the recent unit trusts were snapped up, it is hard to believe that we (Malaysians) are experiencing bad times. AirAsia is doing a brisk business as people are still travelling on holiday or perhaps opt to travel budget to beat the high costs of air-travel. However, if the economy does not pick up, more and more people would be losing their job as companies close or downsize. Less income would mean less demand for goods and that would in turn result in material goods ending up as surplus inventory. Expect more warehouse sales and other in-between-occasion sales coming up soon.
