Have you ever had the experience of a lost luggage? Awful feeling, wasn't it? A girlfriend who went on an extended holiday in Europe recently had a most unpleasant surprise. Her luggage did not come back with her but was on its way to Australia instead. The worry and inconvenience of filing a claim, etc. was no fun. Luckily, her Samsonite luggage came back after a week but not without some scratches here and there.
Sturdy suitcase are usually heavier, so there is a trade-off.

I agree about the trade-off. If one has fragile souvenirs, a sturdy suitcase is preferred.
ReplyDeleteBackpacking has its tradeoffs too but the big plus is its convenience, I'm sure.
