Food features prominently in the Chinese New Year celebration. It has been one meaty meal after another so it was quite a relief to be eating pizza for a change at a girlfriend's home yesterday.
I am not much of a flour person actually, but pizzas are good for a change. Pancakes are good too once in a while. Just as well as this week's quiz is about pancakes. Can you imagine yourself being a pancake? LOL?

You prefer healthy, foods made with whole ingredients. You shy away from anything refined, high fat, or with too many scary ingredients. It's not likely someone would find high fructose corn syrup or trans fats in your kitchen. Instead, someone might find a huge, interesting salad or stir fry being prepared. |
I can't imagine myself being a pancake, but I can imagine myself eating one! LOL! Anyway, here's what I got...
ReplyDeleteYou prefer flavorful, fresh foods that are well seasoned.
You shy away from anything plain or overcooked.
It's not likely someone would find a lot of cheap convenience foods in your kitchen.
Instead, someone might find a wide array of spices, herbs, and flavorings.
Not totally correct, but well...
I am buttermilk pancakes:
ReplyDeleteYour prefer traditional, old fashioned foods.
You shy away from anything fake, and you like meals with simple ingredients.
It's not likely someone would find margarine or diet soda in your kitchen.
Instead, someone might find a loaf of homemade bread baking or a soup simmering.
Well, for once I got a result that really does fit me...except that I do tend to use margarine instead of better simply because it's easier to buy and has less fat.
This quiz was kind of hard to answer, though. My most accurate response to a couple of the questions would have been "none of the above".

Hi Foong, not totally true? Nevermind. Mine's not 100% either but the 'shying away from too many scary ingredients' bit is true though.
ReplyDeleteHi MM, I know about 'none of the above' being most apt in some cases. I have somehow stopped using margarine after I read an article of its close likeness to plastic. Have you come across this article? Maybe I need to check it up on Snopes.
Hi MBL, you are buttermilk pancakes too, eh? Homemade bread must be the most fragrant aroma in the world. I read that if you have people coming over to check out your house with an intention to buy, bake bread. The aroma might just help close the sale.
Sorry for being late but, Happy Chinese New Year! Wishing you and all your loved ones a happy and healthy year of the Ox.
ReplyDeleteGonna try the quiz now. :)

I'm A buttermilk Pancake.
ReplyDeleteHi Pete, no need to apologise, it is still Chinese New Year, right? Thanks so much. May you and your loved ones have a happy and healthy year ahead too. So what pancake are you? I need someone else (besides Foong) to tip the scales a little since almost everyone here is a buttermilk pancake. :D
