Mesothelioma lawyers

Asbestos, despite it causing cancer, primarily lung cancer, it is still used worldwide though to a lesser extent.

According to Wikipedia, asbestos is a naturally occurring silicate mineral with long, thin fibrous crystals. The word asbestos is derived from a Greek adjective meaning inextinguishable. The Greeks termed asbestos the miracle mineral because of its soft and pliant properties, as well as its ability to withstand heat.

Asbestos is toxic. The inhalation of asbestos fibers can cause serious illnesses, including malignant mesothelioma, lung cancer, and asbestosis (also called pneumoconiosis). Since the mid 1980s, many uses of asbestos have been banned in several countries.

Should one be unfortunate enough to be stricken with cancer of the lungs, called mesothelioma, there are Mesothelioma lawyers who are well-versed in such cases and would be able to advise on legal options, etc.

  1. There are couple of news here about asbestos victims. Well, not the people who use it but worked in this area. what a shame. The employers ended up paying compensations of more than half a million dollars. I thought that was rather little.

  2. There's hardly any news about cases of this kind of cancer here. Probably people here are not so well-exposed to sue for compensation. I don't know.

Life is priceless and it's really hard to put a figure to it. More than half a million is considered little?

  3. Life is priceless. I absolutely agree. 1 case only paid half a million. The other case 2 millions.

Maybe over here sueing is not as popular as in the US. When I started with this company, there is a sexual harrassment compensation. Small companies normally don't have this. If somebody touches you as such, you can prove it, you will get several millions compensation! So, I guess everyone behaves :o)

  4. I should say proving sexual harrassment is not easy unless there is a witness or being caught on film/tape. Sexual harrassment case in Malaysia? I don't think I've heard of any. We are still not as advanced as in the west or rather not as sensitve yet.

Heck, we are still seeing cases of molestation by own parent/sibling. Jeezzzz...
