Aung San Suu Kyi released

Today is a milestone for the people of Myanmar and for democracy. Myanmar's military government freed its archrival, democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi, on Saturday after her latest term of detention expired. Several thousand jubilant supporters streamed to her residence. More..

  3. Shingo, when things improve in Myanmar, we may see an exodus of our immigrant labor workforce. Left to be seen on the impact then but it may be years from now.

  4. At last Suu Kyi was released. This is the most important news of the week. It was long awaited release but it was actually implemented this week. The world stood by her side.
