Nicol is world squash champion

Malaysia's Nicol David capped a superb year-long run in squash by bagging the prestigious title in the World Squash Open championship in Hong Kong yesterday.

The 22-year-old lass, currently ranked third in the world, was in devastating form as she powered to 8-10, 9-2, 9-6, 9-7 win over world No. 2 Aussie Rachael Grinham to emerge as the first Malaysian, first Asian and the youngest woman world squash champion.

    She is a champion, everyone is happy for her. But what i really dun like bout malaysia is, after someone wins something huge, they will start to claim credit.

  6. Hi englee, thank you for sharing ur thoughts. Right you are but human nature being what it is, people will tend to claim credit for themselves. It's not such a good thing but it happens. I totally agree with you that Nicol deserves all the credit - no doubt about that.
