Live Earth

Many of us enjoyed the live concerts happening all over the world last weekend. Did we give it a thought as to what inspired these concerts? The warning words below the picture and others should trigger some sort of action for all.

More wise words:

We have been told that we have just 10 years to avoid the catastrophic tipping point of the Climate Crisis.

We must change the way we live.

And we have been told that global oil production will peak and decline permanently within 10 years. This is called 'Peak Oil'. To learn more about 'Peak Oil' visit www.powerswitch.org.uk

We will have no choice but to change the way we live.

Thanks for this post. We need to be informed and take action. We don't know when peak will come (it may have already happened), but it is a certainty, just as climate crisis is. The time to deal with both is now.

A funny thing is, once you start making changes in you own life, you start to feel good about it and what seemed really scary becomes something you can handle.

  2. Peak oil and climate crisis, two very stark truths that we have to come to terms with and to start taking actions to deal with them.

Governments can help big time by not waging wars, depleting resources unnecessarily. On a personal level, everyone can chip in collectively. For all we know, we are at peak level and going down the bell curve. Scary thought.
