Mari Mari Mengundi - a new twist to an old familiar tune

Here is a new twist to an old General Election "anthem" which we only get to hear once in five years. You read it right. The song is only aired during the days leading up to the polls.

Mari Mari Mengundi (literally means to cast your vote) is a catchy number that was composed in one of the general elections way back when and this year, the Elections Commission has it revived in a new joget tempo - good for the dance floor, actually. Give it a listen to see if you like it too.

Remember, the date is May 5!

    1. First saw this on Astro and then looked it up on YouTube. Surprised to find it there, actually. Nice beat, hor? The group reminds me of Black Eyed Peas. Fergie in particular.

  5. Good thing the voting day is on a Sunday. At least everyone is more free to go and vote! : )

    1. Did you know it used to be on a Saturday? I read that some churchgoers are not happy with it being on a Sunday this time around.
