If you are watching the skies this week, you might just be rewarded with catching sight of a meteor shower. Yes, it's that time of the year again for that Perseid Meteor Shower.

This year, the shower is from July 17 to August 24 with the peak in activity being on August 12 and 13. If you are in the U.S., MSN suggests 13 Incredible Places to Catch the Perseid Meteor Shower.

During the peak, the rate of meteors reaches 60 or more per hour. They can be seen all across the sky; however, the Perseids are primarily visible in the Northern Hemisphere.
