SONY VAIO - to have or not to have

The current economy being what it is, many people have lost their jobs (close to 100,000 now in Malaysia) or about to lose theirs.

I have friends who are keeping their fingers crossed that they will be spared. Their company is in the process of laying off employees.

An article I read the other day lists down some actions one can take in the event of one losing one's job in order to generate some income. One of the actions is to hold a garage sale.

Would you let go of your prized possessions including your Sony Vaio and downgrade to a lesser model? Desperate times need desperate measures. Still, it can be a tough decision. No?

There are people selling their second hand stuff at flea markets. In a way, helps to get rid of unused stuff as well as generate side income.

  2. Have to check what price people offer for my old TV. If I can't get much profit margin from selling the old TV and buying the new one then it's not really wise to sell it. :)

  3. Mei Teng, so true. I have a co-worker who brought all the unused (but still in good condition) appliances from her home to Cash Converters before she moved to her new home. I thought that was a great way to clean up the clutter at least.

    Jim, good luck!

  5. Well...we have to be versatile! It's really for us to keep our current lifestyle if we don't have that money means! So for the time being we should live within our means. Meaning any measure which can be taken should be executed! =)

  6. Hi Kenwooi. It sure does look pretty. A Dell does too, wouldn't it otherwise you wouldn't have bought yours. I say whatever serves its purpose works fine. Eh?

Tekkaus, I buy that - living within one's means is the wisest and safest thing to do.
