Stay safe, wear Sterling silver jewelry instead

My girlfriends are into wearing more sterling silver jewelry nowadays as opposed to flashing their gold and diamond pretty things. The latter are safely stashed away for special occasions only.

Recently, one girlfriend showed off her brand new sterling silver necklace she bought to celebrate some achievement. Sterling silver jewelry can be just as beautiful though at a fraction of the cost of gold. Best of all is they are not target for snatch-thefts putting the wearer to very much less or even no risk.

Safety first, I say.

    1. One can even test poison with silver like in the old days in which food for the Emperors was tested for poison before they can proceed to put food in their mouth.

Found this on Yahoo! Emperors of China used "silver' chopsticks not to show wealth, but for their own protection as well. Emperors would have "food taste testers" however for extra security, the Emperors prefer to use his own silver chopsticks during every meal. Silver chopstick would turn black in the presence of poison, therefore the royal family uses silver chopsticks to prevent assassinations.

As for warding off evil spirits, jade can also do the trick. Jade is believed to also be able to ward off an accident or calamity.
