Flea market and Auction at AmCorp Mall

I was at the AmCorp mall one weekend some years back and it so happened they were also having the auction. I believe it is held once a month and that weekend was it. That was the first time I ever witnessed an auction and was naturally interested enough to stay on and watch.

The stuff that went on auction was amazing. Even old ashtrays were quickly snapped up. They probably need a cigar auction to complement sale of ashtrays. Auctions sure provide a whole new meaning to old things, don't you think? Here's a little trivia. According to U.S. customs laws, antique is defined as 100 years before date of purchase but in the case of automobiles, it's approximately 25 years old or more.

  1. Been there twice yeah quite old old stuff can be found there. Saw a few old coke bottles *fat and short type* and those 555 cigarette tins for sale. Do they provide any *shelltox* to spray on the stuff that we bought before we take them home as not to let the fleas to come back with us to our house? ~;).

  3. Bananaz, LOL about the shelltox.

Going to a flea market is akin to going down memory lane in a way.

Mei Teng, agree that it's quite happening. It's a great place for memorabilia collectors.

  5. I don't know what's the purpose of auctions except to jack up the price and make the things more expensive than they actually are.

  6. I wish I can make some money in flea market too. But the question is: what to sell?
