Today is the first day of the holy month, Ramadan. Muslims around the world begin their first day of fasting today.
The holy month of Ramadan brings out the best in Muslims, with many saying that fasting is about patience, showing compassion for the less fortunate and trying to become a better person.
The image above shows Muslims performing the first night of 'terawih' prayers at the National Mosque on Sunday, yesterday. Terawih prayers are done every night throughout the fasting month.
To my Muslim friends and Muslim readers, Selamat Berpuasa!

ReplyDeleteLucky you, SK! Or is it not so lucky. Imagine having a whiff of all those food outside your home daily! xD
ReplyDeleteHi Ryan, thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteSK, how lucky! All those delicious food at your doorstep!
Foong, enjoy!
ReplyDeleteLina, I should say having all those food available everyday is being lucky. The abundance of food is one thing but the traffic congestion would be quite another. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.
