Cyclists and monitor lizard on my morning commute

Monday blues? Never, especially when the day starts so well with blue skies and sunshine, just the right pick-me-up combination to kick-start the day.

Today, I saw a couple of cyclists doing their training with a trainer's car in tow, bicycles atop the vehicle. No doubt they are thule bike racks when I saw Thule on the racks. Sometimes, I wondered if the bikes will fall off, but they won't of course having been tested.

A morning commute to work can be interesting if not caught in a traffic snarl. One time, I saw a giant monitor lizard trying to cross the road. He must be doing his morning jog or going to market. And on another occasion, I saw one similar near my home. I sure hope he wasn't stalking me.

    1. SK, too bad not enough time to get out the camera. He was too fast on both counts.

I'm sure they were both monitor lizards alright and huge ones too, something like two feet from mouth/lips to tip of tail. This is the type of lizard that sometimes end up in Chinese wine. *gulp*

    1. I estimate it to be two feet from mouth to tail tip. Big, huh? A lizard that size is a rare sight in urban areas. I think it must be lost in our concrete jungle. Poor thing. I hope it got back home safely.

Foong, you said: Maybe it is hungry and wanna eat you. Yikes!!

  4. It's good to cycle to work to escape the jam. One of my friends do that everyday! But if I were to do that, I will need to take a shower when I reach my work place LOL!

    1. I didn't know we have people who cycle to work in KL. That's great! It's a common mode of transportation in a lot of cities in the west.

Hey, a shower is a good tradeoff.
