There is only one IKEA outlet here in KL, probably the only one in the whole of Malaysia. On any given weekend, IKEA is packed with shoppers, window-shoppers, diners who love the curry puffs and/or food at their inhouse restaurant or those who simply enjoy an air-cond place to hang out other than the one at home. Bottomline, (almost) everyone loves IKEA, possibly to a fault. Guilty here too..
What do we love about IKEA? Probably every conceivable reason under the sun. Wish you have some spare cash to splurge a little perhaps? Now you may have that chance. IKEA Malaysia is running a design competition and you may be the lucky recipient of a cool $2000 to spend as you please. Now. how about that?! Good luck!
Meanwhile, I may be off to Jaya Jusco for their Member J Card Day.
I don't like shopping at IKEA becoz the place can be so crowded and check-out lines can be nightmarish.ReplyDelete
It's been like ages since I last went to Ikea...because Malacca doesn't have Ikea. :DReplyDelete
I'm going to Ikea this weekend. Been quite a while since I last been there, and usually my visits were during the weekdays. Just like Mei Teng mentioned - the crowd and the checkout lines can be a nightmare.ReplyDelete
I'm a big fan of Ikea. Other than the cheap (though lower quality) furniture, Wifey loves the meatball, and I love their chicken wings.ReplyDelete
Even when we have no furniture to buy, we find it quite theraputic to just walk around and see what new concept Ikea has. ^_^
I lup Ikea..the designs & curry puff hehe. tQReplyDelete
nah, i have never had luck in any contest (big or small).. jusco member day?? oh, must be very very very crowded~~ReplyDelete
Mei Teng, I agree the queues at checkout counters can be offputting at times, esp during holidays and weekends.ReplyDelete
Tekkaus, the only one in the Klang Valley can be quite a distance for some of us too if we live on the other side of town.
Lina, hope you had fun there. True about the checkout lines being a nightmare. Lucky you, you could go during weekdays.ReplyDelete
Shingo, therapeutic is the word! I enjoy checking out the place too. Didn't know the chicken wings are that good. I'll have to try them the next time. Thanks.
Bananaz, Ikea is nice to visit for their designs, I agree. And colors and variety and curry puffs too. LOL!ReplyDelete
SK, it was. I was there. Second time so far. Bought a bag.
