Have you seen scarecrows as pretty as these? These shots were taken in Japan. Looking at how sweet-looking they are, would the crows be scared?
I've never seen anything like these in Malaysia. The farmers here don't even make strawmen or anything close. I've seen empty tin cans being strung up with raffia strings and tied along the fence and that's as best there is, I think.
Have you seen any better ones?
Pretty scarecrows must be an artform these days in Japan! Over here in Italy, they are bland, the ones I have seen anyway.
ReplyDeleteLB, at least there are some in Italy. I don't think there is any real scarecrow in Malaysia.
ReplyDeleteJapan makes almost everything into an art-form. I'm still amazed at their square water-melons.
We saw some in nothern Ibaraki last weekend - they were all lined up on the fence at the entrance of a community centerof a small town. Not as good as these however.
