In this morning's radio show, the topic of discussion was whether you would opt for a $5000 annual increment or have more time-off instead. Interesting topic, this one.
We are talking about $5000 increment here. My drive allowed for just a few callers and surprisingly, the few ladies who called in went for more time-off, all citing they'd prefer to spend time with their children. Now that's unconditional love for you. One lady said she'd been spending so much time away from her child that he even wrote about it in his essay. That was a wake-up call for her. One male caller, however, opted for 50/50. Wanting the best of both worlds here.
There is no right or wrong answer, I believe. At different times of our life, it would be one or the other. What do you think?
Some pictures here to tease the brain...
Falling in love - as in going in circles under the spell of the object of love?
Blooming love
Defined love - different things to different people
give you more hugs

ReplyDeleteAh...those pics are like a breath of warm, fresh air on a chilly day. :)
ReplyDeleteWhich would I opt for? Tough call. I'd probably go with more time off, though the additional increment would mean more possibilities during holidays or after retirement.
Are you suggesting that the male caller did not have unconditional love? Perhaps he just wanted to earn more money so that he could give the best to his family.
ReplyDeleteI read this in a health magazine. Someone wrote: "When I was young, I traded health for wealth. Now I trade wealth for health."
Pic #2...blooming love is nice, if you have a mansion in the sky.
ReplyDeleteMM, I'd say either one is logical depending on the current situation. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
ReplyDeleteKH, my belief is that only a parent, either mom or dad, is capable of unconditional love. In this case, the male caller is being more realistic or wanting the best of both worlds? Your point is taken though.
ReplyDeleteI like your magazine quote. That's a reality, alright. Thanks for sharing it.
Joe, how romantic!
ReplyDeleteThank you, very much.............
