The End of the World - Dec 21, 2012

For centuries, there have been predictions of the end of the world, from the Mayan calendar to the Chinese I-Ching, to the Bible and others. Oracles down the ages have come up with accurate predictions of the birth of Christ, the anti-Christ, World Wars I and II, Napoleon losing the battle at Waterloo, even global-warming, 911 and many other catastrophic events.

And now as time draws near, we are reminded of the impending end of the world. The Mayan calendar which has accurately predicted eclipses suddenly stops at one particular date which experts conclude that that could be the day the world will end.

This date is Winter Solstice, December 21 in the year 2012 - which is only less than four years away. Actually, about ten days shy of three and three-quarter years away, to be exact.

Will the world come to an end or will there be an upheaval that changes the Earth's axis displacing countries altering seasons? In fact, altering everything as we know it today resulting in a totally new world? Someone once told me that the human race will not be wiped out. Why? Because each and everyone of us has to pay for our bad karma on this Earth. But I digress..

Do you think all this hype is just a joke? Perhaps to get the human race to repent and do something positive to save this blue planet we call home? Your guess is as good as mine. The following videos are interesting. Take a look. You may want to skip the fifth video because it could be a repeat of the one before it. I didn't want to remove it so as not to upset the numbering but feel free to watch it too, if you like.

According to the original source, this could be a repeat of the video above. You may want to check it out.

  1. Oh, I've blogged about this! I also wonder if 2012 is the end of the world, but somehow I don't so...

  2. Foong, we shall have to wait and see. It's only a short few years away. But I hope not. There are too many things undone, too many places unseen, too many people unloved. Eh? LOL!

  3. Hmmm...my opinion is don't be easily taken in by some people's alarms. I know for a fact that the hype about 2012 being the end is something many occultists believe in. They are promoting things like this for their own objectives. It's not really true - even in the bible Jesus Christ never said when the end will come. Or (IMO) if there is an end in our lifetime.

  4. I've been reading up on this and the Maya do not predict the end of the world - just a change in how we preceive things.

  5. JL, it is hard to believe, isn't it that the world would come to an end, either in our lifetime or ever at all. On the other hand, there is every possibility that mankind might kill itself with nuclear warfare, if that is our fate. Who knows.

mayan calendar 2012 explorer -- Hi and thank you for stopping by and sharing your point. Apocalypse may be just about right, something that might change our perception and the way we live, just like 911 has. Let's touch-base the morning of December 22, 2012. Right here on my blog. Everyone is welcome on this date. (I need to find one of those reminder widgets to keep that date in view..)Thanks again for stopping by.

  6. I wonder as well, maybe global warming would of done some damage by then and the sun would burn the earth.

    Just guessing :)

  7. Hi evl. I read that some people do not believe there's global warming and the whole thing was cooked up by people capitalising on the idea. Lots of other opinions too like global warming is none of our fault because it's part of evolution as well as the solar activity. Whatever it is, we can clearly see the effects of climatic changes around us.
