I read with interest the newspaper article about a 15-year-old Nepalese boy meditating beneath a pipal tree for months without food and water. This was sometime back.
Then last week, I saw a documentary on tv about him. The film showed him sitting beneath the tree, still, eyes closed. The place was crowded with pilgrims who came to the dense jungle of southern Nepal to worship this 15-year-old boy who has been hailed as a new Buddha.
Devotees claim that Ram Bomjon, who is silently meditating beneath a tree, has not eaten or drunk anything since he sat down at his chosen spot six months ago.
This is exactly how he looked like.
Three years have gone by.
The teenage boy revered by many as a reincarnation of Buddha sat silently in the jungle as he blessed his devotees Wednesday with a light tap on the head, which they consider the touch of the divine.
His face was still, his long hair spilled over his white robe, and he never said a word.

I don't think he's Buddha reincarnate. Because like what some scholars said, Buddha already reached the highest point and no longer trapped in the cycle of death and rebirth, so why would Buddha need to return to Earth? Does not makes sense, right?
