That's right. Air Asia is offering its Big Sale again with flights starting for as low as RM9.
All destinations apply from March 3 to 7, with domestic destinations like Penang, Langkawi, Terengganu, Johor Baru and Kota Baru priced from RM9 one-way.
To Kuching for RM29 and to Kota Kinabalu for RM49 one-way. For international flights, Australian destinations such as Gold Coast, Melbourne and Perth start at RM149 one-way, while a ticket to London is going for RM699.
To enjoy the discounts, passengers must book their trip between March 3 and 7 for travel between Sept 25 this year and Feb 13 next year.
And for those looking to find other travel bargains, head on over to the Matta Fair slated for 12-14 March at PWTC (Putra World Trade Centre) from 10am to 9pm. Happy bargain-hunting!
hmmm, many of times i can't even get the cheap tickets - either i'm not fast enough, or the dates i travel is not entitled for that.. so, as much as i'm excited about the promo, i never put much hope also.. :)

Most recently, my wife and I were stranded in Abu Dhabi when AirAsiaX announced they were canceling service to/from Abu Dhabi in January this year. They didn’t notify us (their stranded passengers), until Feb 10th. Neither did they offer any accommodation nor answer our emails asking for help. We had to get back to Malaysia on our own. They won’t reimburse our additional expenses either.
ReplyDeleteThey said they would refund the Abu Dhabi/Kuala Lumpur portion of our trip, but it will take them 30-50 days to process the refund. Such an attitude!
Watch out for these guys. If you are considering using AirAsiaX, It might be a good idea to develop a plan B... just in case.
Seriously, there's like a ton of sales in the travel sector and I have become broke in January. Just by booking this and that. Thanks AirAsia :)

War...I felt that Airasia is really charitable. :p
ReplyDeleteSK, yeah, I heard it's not that easy to secure cheap tickets though a colleague has been able to book tickets for him and his family every time Air Asia has a sale. And he would book a few destinations at one time for different travel times. Incredible!
ReplyDeleteEugene, true, hotels can cost a bundle.
Aww, thanks for the invite. In fact, I was in Penang in December.
Hi Nikel, of course you can. Just make the time. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
PaulK, aww, so sorry to hear what you and your wife went through. I'm shocked that they did not inform travellers on the flight change/cancellation. I should think all airlines would. Hope everything has been sorted out now. Thank you for stopping by and sharing your experience.
Hi David Jr. Right, thanks AirAsia, otherwise we would have to spend more on air tickets, eh? Thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteTekkaus, I have to agree on that. In a way, it's good that Malaysia has her own low cost carrier.
So cheap! Planning a trip for yourself?
ReplyDeleteI've never taken AirAsia flight before, this coming trip, I'll have to from Singapore to KL.
ReplyDeleteI hope it's not going to be too bad.
I usually take SIA from Singapore to KL but because of Firefly Airline's website not encrypted, which I only found out a bit later (after I've booked my SIA ticket), too late to change or add that extra flight. So, have to take Airasia.
From everyone and everything I have ever dealt with in all my life, Air Asia is the most pathetic by far. I had booked a holiday in KL for the end of Feb 2010 and found out a couple of weeks before through the local newspaper that Air Asia has cancelled all Abu Dhabi flights.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I managed to speak to someone for a refund and was promised that it will be done in 30-50 days. I spoke 50 days later and was told that the money should be refunded any moment. I have tried calling them for the past couple of weeks and I think they have a cheap modus operandi. When you dial their number, you get an automated message saying all agents are busy, this continues for 10 minutes and exactly after a specific duration of being on hold there is a beep and the line disconnects - same thing everytime. They think people are fools not to understand what's going on. Air Asia - unethical, daylight robbery!
In the summers a great mini vacation idea is to plan a barbecue day with your friends in a convenient area.
