Friday Frolics - What Freudian Stage Are You In?

Last week, we did something (Carl) Jungian. This week, let's do something Freudian, Sigmund Freud, that is.

From Wikipedia, Freud is best known for his theories of the unconscious mind and the defense mechanism of repression and for creating the clinical practice of psychoanalysis for curing psychopathology through dialogue between a patient and a psychoanalyst.

Freud is also renowned for his redefinition of sexual desire as the primary motivational energy of human life, as well as the interpretation of dreams as sources of insight into unconscious desires, among others.

Interesting stages of development depicted in the results of this Freudian quiz.

You Are in the Genital Stage of Development

According to Dr. Freud, you've reached the genital stage of development.

Whatever issues you may have had in your childhood have been resolved.

You don't have any hang ups, and you are able to function as a stable adult.

You are the model of being well-adjusted, and you are able to balance your life beautifully.

  1. Can it be accurate? The questions don't allow multiple answers ;)

  2. I usually answer the one closest to what's given. Generally, these quizzes are pretty accurate. Sometimes, they make you go, "Nahhh!!" Nevermind about degree of accuracy because we don't live by it. It's just for some fun. You know what, the minute I'm off the quiz, I would have totally switched off of it, genital stage or not! LOL!

Joe, come by on Fridays for some frolicking. I get a quiz up every Friday just for kicks. You can share your reading if you want to. Totally, up to you. Mine's posted - read me like a book. ;)

  3. Oh, joy...I'm stuck in the Oral stage of development:

According to Dr. Freud, you are stuck in the oral stage of development.
If you were orally denied as a child, you may be sarcastic and pessimistic.
If you were orally indulged as a child, you may be spoiled and a bit gullible.
You may not have the cliched “oral fixation” most times, but it's likely to come out during times of stress.
