A Motorhome Holiday

Malaysia is not a big country but still going around the country on a vacation with friends or your loved ones could be a fun affair. Imagine taking in the sights along the way from Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi or to Kota Bharu in the east coast or to Singapore in the south.

A motorhome holiday could be an exciting experience. Of course, do ensure that your emergency road service membership is still valid should your holiday be interrupted with a breakdown and you need help with motorhome towing. Being prepared for the worst will give you peace of mind.

  1. Actually it's a good idea right? We don't have to worry about the accommodation anymore. LOL :P

  2. I drove a lot when I lived in NZ. Went visiting my boyfriend at that time :o). I hated being at the back of these motorhomes. They are so slow.

I hardly see any motorhomes in Malaysia when I was around. They are popular now huh?

  4. That is so true, Tekkaus, especially when we fail to plan our vacation early and all hotels have been taken up.

Ai Shiang, New Zealand is a nice place to drive around, though one needs to watch out for sheep crossing the road in the countryside.

No, motorhomes are not popular here, yet.

PandaB, possible. However, we do have a lot of RVs on the road.

  7. Hi Raspberry, I'm sorry to have to burst your bubble somewhat. Motorhomes or campervans are not popular here so I'm not sure if we have a company that supplies these for renting though they do carry RVs.

Malaysia is really not that big and there are lots of hotels (both budget and higher) in towns and cities the entire stretch of the peninsula and East Malaysia. You'd be able to find a hotel of your choice online.

As for vehicle renting, a few popular rent-a-car companies here are Avis, Hertz and Mayflower. Mayflower will also be able to advise you on local package tours.

Hope the above helps some. Feel free to come back if you need more info. Thanks for stopping by.

Btw, here's more info on Malaysia.
