'Ghost' of Michael Jackson
Do yo believe in ghosts? 'Ghost' of Michael Jackson caught on camera pacing the corridors of Neverland. Watch the video and tell me what you see.
Celebrating July 4
Does this picture ring a bell? Did you use to do that? Back in the days when firecrackers were allowed to be fired here, (yes, firecrackers are an illegal item in Malaysia now) lots of children, the more daring ones, would get a blast from this blasting. LOL!Of course, the even more daring ones would fire up their own home-made canons and in the process would sometimes end up losing a finger or two. I won't go into losing other parts.
Back to the picture, this is a picture from LIFE magazine showing Youngsters in Dallas Texas Blasting a Tin Can back in 1955 celebrating July 4. Now doesn't this take some of us down memory lane?
If you are interested, here is LIFE magazine's gallery of Life on July 4 in some of the earlier years.
By the way, this year, US celebrated its 233rd anniversary of Independence Day - with barbecues, live music and other festivities.
In Washington, President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle invited some 1,200 military families for evening Independence Day celebrations at the White House.
The first family's backyard bash, complete with red, white and blue celebratory bunting, was also a celebration of the 11th birthday of the Obama's oldest daughter Malia, who sported an American flag painted on her right cheek.

Tickets to Michael Jackson's Memorial Service
The migration has begun as lucky fans who received tickets to Michael Jackson's Memorial service on Tuesday begin to travel to Staples Center in Los Angeles which will be admitting 11,000 people. 6,500 will be admitted at the Nokia Theater nextdoor. Streets around the stadium will be closed to prevent those without tickets from trying to attend.Winners received a unique code via email and instructions on how to pick up their tickets Monday. When they pick up their tickets, a wristband will be placed on their wrists.
To prevent ticket scalping, fans must have both the ticket and the wristband to enter Staples Center on Tuesday. Wristbands that have been ripped, taped or tampered with will be voided.
Winners were selected from an online registry on Staplescenter.com. Each winner will be issued two tickets.
Only U.S. residents can apply for tickets, according to the Staples Center Web site. No details of the memorial service itself have been released.
The memorial service will not be shown on Staples' giant outdoor TV screen but will be broadcast on five television networks, NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC and E! Entertainment. Malaysians will be able to watch it on Astro then.

Things Money Can Buy

A burger is just like any other burger. Right? Not quite.
Look again. This Burger, though nothing to rave about aesthetically, comes with a price tag of US$200 which makes it the world's most expensive burger which can be found at a Burger King in London, England.
What makes it so pricey? The ingredients include Wagyu Beef, White Truffle, Iranian Saffron & white truffle dusted bun, Pata Negra Slices, Cristal Champagne onion Straws, 25-year-old Balsamic vinegar, Lambs lettuce, Pink Himalayan rock salt, and Hollandaise shallot mayonnaise.
Alright, if you would like to part with a bigger amount, how about this black watermelon?

According to Time magazine, this Densuke Black Watermelon, priced at US$6,100 is
grown only in Japan's northern island of Hokkaido. It is on sale at Isetan, a department store in Tokyo. A 17-pound was sold at record price to a marine products dealer who wanted to support local agriculture.
Of course there are other things money can buy, like this 1935 Alfa Romeo 6C 2300 Pescara Spyder going for the price tag of US$1,098,447. It is a classic sports car, once owned by Italian dictator Benito Mussolini which was bought by a private buyer - a record price for that model.

However, if it's property you are looking for to spend your billions, how about one of these apartments in Hong Kong..
Penthouse at The Arch
Price Tag: $28,800,000
A Hong Kong luxury 5,497-square-foot flat in The Arch, is considered to be the most expensive apartment per square foot in Asia. The 80th floor penthouse boasts a private swimming pool and a jaw-dropping view of Victoria Harbour.

Ahh.... la dolce vita..

Detoxification Can Improve Health
A colleague's greengrocer must have seen a spike in his business lately. Julie has been buying green apples by the cartons for herself, her family and other co-workers for a detoxification regimen that they embarked on.
The week-long colon-cleansing exercise involves eating four apples daily (or the equivalent amount in juice form) and at the end of the week, to also include a cup of olive oil and epson salt (I think). I'm hearing mixed results after the exercise.
Have you heard of this method of detoxification? I would rather go for colon cleansers that have gone through proper lab-testing that can really help me detoxify my body. By the way, did you know that detoxification can help one lose weight, eliminate acne and generally improve one's health?
