The contest requires that you send in a photo of a place in America - North, South or Central America - to Discover America through Postcards Photo Contest. The image should contain enough beauty or curiosity to urge viewers to want to learn more about the place.
Four finalists will be selected based on originality, composition and technical execution. Three finalists have already been selected. Each of the four images will be made into a postcard featured on the Postcards from America website. The Grand Prize receives USD100. The winner will be announced on New Year's Day 2009.

Blue Water Bridge, Port Huron, MI

The Height of Land overlook is the centerpiece of the Rangeley Lakes National Scenic Byway, an area belonging to Massachusetts until 1796 when James Rangeley purchased it. The scenic road follows the ridge line of Appalachian Mountains, presenting grand views of two Maine lakes: Mooselookmeguntic (Abnaki for "moose feeding place") and Upper Richardson.Good luck!
