PETALING JAYA: In recognition of the role of housewives as
homemakers, the Employees Provident Fund will now allow
husbands to make contributions to accounts under their
wives' names.

This move is aimed at providing the housewives some
financial security in their old age and also prevent them
from being left in the lurch should their spouses desert them.
