Beyonce postpones concert in Malaysia

Those who have bought tickets to Beyonce's concert on Oct 25 will be disappointed to know that the concert has been postponed. The Star has the story:

KUALA LUMPUR: Pop star Beyonce Knowles has postponed her widely anticipated Malaysian leg of her tour scheduled for Sunday, Oct 25, to a date that will be announced soon.

Organisers Marctensia Sdn Bhd said that the official postponement statement by Beyonce’s Artiste Management, Music World would be released by this week.

“The postponement is solely the decision of the Artiste and has nothing to do with other external reasons.

“The Organisers sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused,” Marctensia said in a statement.

Fans who have bought the tickets but can’t wait for the announcement of the new date, can get their refunds between Oct 26 and Nov 14 at Ticket Axcess head office in Petaling Jaya.

  2. What a disappointment to her fans! Luckily I have not bought the tickets! If it's Mariah's concert, I would have bought much earlier! Haha!

  5. SK, I think the concert would be a blast. Let's hope she decides to have it here.

Foong, of course you would, for Mariah Carey!! But honestly, for eye-candy for costumes and moves, I'd go for Beyonce - anytime. Sorry!

  6. Shingo, we don't know why yet but fingers crossed that she decides to hold the concert.

Honestly, to lay down costume rules in order to approve concerts is like short-changing audience for paying good money for the ticket. Imagine paying for a durian which you are only allowed to see the thorns and not get at the flesh. hehe..

Also, if the artiste has to dress down, it would also apply to the backup singers and dancers. What's there to see then? Bah...

I read that one diva who was here lately, because of the restriction, she did not bother to change costumes but just stuck to that one outfit the entire show! How boring and depriving that must have been for the audience.

  7. Superman, no idea. Everybody's speculating and thinking the worst. Malaysia must be making a name for herself in the entertainment world overseas - for the wrong reasons, unfortunately.

  8. Beyonce is beautiful and sexy. It's a pity she can't strut her stuff and assets freely by dressing scantily for her concert in Matland. In this aspect, Malaysia Tak Boleh :p
