Ensuring Information Security

Common company information on websites is open and readily available to the public. Unfortunately, sometimes confidential and proprietary information also shows up online. This can pose a threat to companies as the information might be used much to the detriment of the companies. How does a company ensure information security and prevent confidential and sensitive company information from being exposed to the public at large?

One company that can help companies keep an eye for them is webArgos. webArgos was created to defend the reputation and intellectual property of companies on the world wide web. They specialize in finding and eliminating publicly acessible documents that are defamatory, violate a company's copyrights and/or trademarks, or do not abide by a company's confidentiality guidelines.

What webArgos does is, they do a two-month deep-dive and come up with a list of all existing potential threats on the web and each threat is assigned a threat level to indicate the extent of the threat. Clients then select from the list the threats they want webArgos to eliminate on their behalf. After the initial threat discovery is complete, clients are enrolled in the ongoing monitoring program. New threats will continue to be identified and eliminated as required.
