Mental health chatrooms offer support

Support groups play an important role in helping one come to terms with a bad experience or overcome grief. Recently, a friend of a friend went through a traumatic experience and she was fortunate enough to be introduced to some online support groups.

MH Chat is one such source of support group. It provides social support in the form of chat rooms, forums, and web radio hosting. These resources are helpful for people who are suffering from depression, anxiety or phobia. The chat rooms are easy to use as they are IRC-based. Right now, their featured chat is Phobia chat. Anyone can easily start a chatroom with their chatroom generator tool.

The MH Chat site provides a list of useful sites, great resources for those in need. It would be helpful if the list is updated regularly with new sites.

  1. this is good information.

Mental help support group is important.. but be careful of those claiming that they can treat any disease online..

it is sometimes overly claimed for it's uses.
