Make Popcorn with your Cellphones

A year ago, I posted an entry about the possibility of cooking eggs with cellphones. It was claimed an urban legend but now, I am not so sure because a friend tried it out and managed to cook (half-boil) his egg (oops!) after having the phones on for 15 minutes. So, it is true afterall.

Along the same vein, apparently, other food items can be cooked too.

Received an email of two videos showing how to make popcorn with cellphones. I have borrowed and put together four images from one of the videos. MacGyver would be happy. I think you can check them out on YouTube.

Check out this link. CNN interviewed the company behind this video and he admitted that it's a marketing scheme. A very good one.

  2. Amazing! Now, perhaps my friend would like to try this one out after the egg experiment.

    Thanks, Andie, for the link.

  5. KS, something like that I suppose. Will need to try it out. However, I've tried using microwave for fish chips/keropok but they don't taste as good as conventional way - deep-frying them. The ones from microwaving come out too dry.

MBL, hehe... your guess is as good as mine.

  6. if pop corn can be made like this, then surely talking excessively on the cell-phone would fry our brain too right? :p

  7. MB, I suppose. Maybe it's good to refrain from spending too much time on one phonecall? Use bluetooth device or hands-free kit? Whatever, just don't get the brains fried. LOL!
