World's Best Cities

Take a guess, what do the ten cities listed below have in common?

1. Bangkok
2. Florence
3. Rome
4. New York
5. Istanbul
6. Cape Town
7. Siem Reap, Cambodia
8. Sydney
9. Barcelona
10.Paris

Spanning five continents, these cities make up Travel + Leisure magazine's compilation of cities with the most Visitor Value as in the most desirable destinations that visitors would want to visit. Historical landmarks, cultural hubs, and even jumping-off points to smaller locales are all contributing to a city's desirability.

The magazine took into consideration what's important for visitors: culture, food, shopping, and most importantly, cost – of both staying there and getting there. Topping the charts is Bangkok - a city infamous for its traffic, pollution and recent governmental tensions. But Thailand's steamy capital, bustling Bangkok, is also widely renowned for its unique cuisine, its cosmopolitan nightlife and its stunning Buddhist temples. Thus, the Top Ten list above and if you are looking to book your next holiday, this list is a good start. See full list at Travel + Leisure's website.

Psst..Air Asia is giving away free seats again

  2. The list prepared by the Travel and Leisure magazine to sort out from the rest the best cities for travel and stay. I think this list is prepared accordingly by doing actual survey only.
