Apple retail stores across the US were closed October 19 so that everyone could watch the "celebration of Steve Jobs' life" memorial held at an outdoor amphitheater at Apple headquarters in Cupertino, California. The extraordinary, beautiful and moving event lasted for about 90 minutes, and employees were able to watch video of it on a live webcast. The event was not opened to the public nor the news media.
Watch Tim Cook, Bill Campbell, Jony (Jonathan) Ive, Al Gore talk about Steve. See performances by Norah Jones and Coldplay. Watch the special event, highly-recommended.
tQ for the post love every moment of it. Yeah very well said of Steve having the curiosity of a child and mind of a genius and the greatest fan of Beatles in terms of team work. tQ once again for this celebration of life.
ReplyDeleteLove the pix of Steve sitting full lotus holding the Mac computer..
ReplyDeleteMac-nificent Steve..tQ HappySurfer.
ReplyDeleteJonathan Ive...Wow!
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome, Bananaz. Glad you enjoyed it. When I was watching the video, I was thinking how proud Apple employees must have felt at being a part of this great company with such great products that change the way the world lives.
Steve must have had many hours of meditation to be able to carry out that full lotus pose. Steve was a Buddhist, guess you knew that already.
Worth skipping brunch for the full video clip and posting the comments intermittently. Yeah knew Steve was a Buddhist only after his death.
ReplyDeleteHi, i don't know why all that fuzz about Steve Job. Just let him rest in peace. He didn't save any lives did he? Anyway, apple is no big deal, just another capitalist giant who treated its employees like in-mates in Alcatraz. And the company never stop ripping our hard earned money away.On the other hand, Apple recording studio at Abbey Road, England should deserve more appreciation and praise. Hello, John Lennon supporters of the world, unite!!
ReplyDeleteBananaz, :)
ReplyDeleteMD, thanks for stopping by. May John Lennon rest in peace too.
