Never Wore Fricken Lacy Lingerie

Frogma (Bonnie) of New York posted this comment on my earlier post, The Best Medicine...Laughter. I love it! It is so good that I feel it deserves a place on the mainboard. So, here it is.

So, for all single ladies out there, this is for you.

Bonnie, thank you for sharing it.

I just got this from a friend (married, actually!) this morning & thought you'd enjoy!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl "Will you marry me?" The girl said, "NO!
And the girl lived happily ever after and went shopping, dancing, camping, drank martinis, always had a clean house, never had to cook, did whatever the hell she wanted, never argued, traveled more, had many boyfriends, didn't save money, and had all the hot water to herself.
She went to the theater, never watched sports, never wore fricken lacy lingerie that went up her backside, had high self-esteem, never cried or yelled, felt and looked fabulous in sweat pants.

THE END

  1. Hahaha...

I guess being "single" is much better, right?

Most of the time, not only the old married women but also the young married women who have shared their marriage lives to me, always said, "You MUST enjoy as much as you can, your singlehood!!!" :)

  4. That's the edited version of the story. The unabridged edition includes this ending:

"Unfortunately, she eventually grew old and spent the last years of her life cold, lonely, and terribly unfulfilled until she finally died alone and unhappy."

I'd like to say "Yes" but of course there are pros and cons to everything. I believe only one knows best what one wants. Thanks for sharing.
