Gwyneth Paltrow, the Country Music Star

Gwyneth Paltrow sings? Gee, I never knew that! I remember her in Shakespeare in Love. I was fascinated at how she could remember all that script. But of course, that talent paid off. She received an Oscar for Best Actress. A career spanning more than two decades, Ms Paltrow has also received many other award nominations including for both Iron Man and Iron Man 2.

Married, she is a mother of two, runs a lifestyle blog and has released her own cookbook and now the 38-year-old is moving in on husband Coldplay rocker Chris Martin's turf.

According to Galaxie, After wow-ing audiences as the singing temp in Glee, and then carrying forward that character to rave reviews at the Grammy stage, it was just a matter of time before Gwyneth Paltrow scored herself a record deal. And what a sweet deal it turned out to be!

Atlantic Records has snapped up the actress and closed the deal for just under a million dollars for her first full-length album. The album is expected to lean towards country-pop.

    I don't think she sings well at all. Her range is below standard. Not as good even to compare to those American Idols candidates, Jennifer Hudson can sing well better.

    Glee certainly helped her to look like a singer...but she isn't. :/ Well...not a good one at least.

    I think this woman can sing. Although her voice isn't really star quality like Celine Dion or Carrie Underwood. Nevertheless, she sounds alot better than those creepy and weird American Idol wannabes during the early stage auditions.

    Oh Gwyneth can sing too?... she is really multi-talented. Tell you, I love her very much & fallen into her...! She is a very natural artiste unlike most of those in Hollywood :-)
