English Premier League season again

The 2012 Summer Olympics have just come to a close a few days ago and from one Games to another, the Barclay's Premier League, England's premier football league, is about to begin. What a treat for sports fans including sports fans in Malaysia who have access to live games on tv either at home or at mamak shops (food outlets), some of which operate around-the-clock.

The first game (six of them actually) kicks off this Saturday, Aug 18. The schedule of the first games of the Barclay's Premier League is as follows. Click on image to enlarge it.

Notable new signing for Manchester United is 29-year-old Robin van Persie from Arsenal. Media reports indicate that 24 million pounds will change hands for van Persie's 4-year contract with Man United.

Robin van Persie, is last season's Player of the Year also winning the Golden Boot award with a goal score of 30. Van Persie wears the Number 20 jersey at Manchester United.

Here's a look at EPL's Player Performance Index, i.e. player ranking.

Full list can be viewed on the Barclay's Premier League website.

Manchester City won last season's Premier League title with a win over Manchester United in the finals. Are you rooting for the same team this year?
