The Chinese Almanac has a way of reading a person's future given the time and date of the person. I remember my late paternal grandmother (first generation Chinese immigrant) used to leaf through the Almanac after the birth of each grandchild to see what the future holds for him or her. I'm not sure how it works but the heavier a child's life is based on the reading/calculation, the better the life. The weight is measured in taels.
Fengshui is also able to tell a person's future based on the Bazi (i.e., the date and time of birth).
Karma is another part of the equation for why we are born what we are. But not everyone believes in karma.

ReplyDeleteI am the peaceful type. I want a lot of things in my life, but I am not attached to any of them. I am able to rise above most petty human emotions. I don't get jealous or hurt easily. I am very different from most people, and everyone I meet is able to figure that out quite quickly. While I don't exactly fit in, I can still relate to others well. People think highly of me.
