Manchester United beats Newcastle 3-0

A great start to a new season. Manchester United began its bid for a record-breaking 19th English league title by cruising to a 3-0 victory over promoted Newcastle on Monday. Goals were scored by Berbatov, Fletcher and Giggs.

In the Charity/Community Shield match over a week ago, Manchester United went in as outsiders but beat Chelsea by a 3-1 scoreline.

  3. The scholes-giggs combo for the last goal was stupendous.
i still maintain that he looks shaky when he gets closed down quickly.

anyway, decent performance, rooney doesn’t look fit. the whole team lacks a bit of sharpness, but that should come.

  4. Tekkaus, yes, go MU!

Foong, haven't you heard? He's retired. Seriously! It was in the papers. The owners retired him after the World Cup. In another article, Goldman Sachs offered a bid of USD4m to hire him. Goldman will convert part of its trading floor into a fish tank for Paul and put boxes of different markets, stocks, indices, equities and bonds for Paul to chose from.

  5. Edward, yeah, Rooney didn't look too good. With a win, that's all that matters in the end. Thanks for stopping by.

  6. This is a great start by Manchester United to kick off the season. It is clear from the scoreline that ManU have dominated the major part of the game and are on to dominate the whole season. Best of luck for ManU.
