Bangkok is No-Go currently

*Sigh* Bangkok..

Malaysians have been advised to stay away from Bangkok for now in view of the escalating tension between the government and supporters of ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra.

As violence escalates, gunshots have been heard in Thailand's capital and soldiers are firing water cannons at anti-government protesters. 77 people have been injured.

A family member was in Bangkok for a holiday last weekend. Am glad she is back home safely.

  2. Right you are, KS. Just don't go to Bangkok, eh?

Frankly, if I have a choice to not go to any of these two places, I would not go to Thailand. I guess you are more adventurous.

  3. Ya I would avoid Thailand too - not because of fear of being hurt or anything (demos are easy enough to avoid), but because they might block the airports again.

  4. Hi Julian, I couldn't agree more. Travellers had a hard time trying to fly out the last time, some two months ago, I believe. Thanks for stopping by.

  6. I will not risk it though the shopping may be enticing. Clothes are a lot cheaper there I know.
